Description
The Mas Mellet is located in “Les Costières de Nîmes”, in Gallician. Property of Brice and Emilie for many years, it covers 27 hectares, and dates from the sixteenth century. It was a relay for the pilgrims of Saint Jacques de Compostela. This area is planted with very old vines going back to 1948, more particularly the Carignan.
Organic farming is practiced (disbudding, green harvest, natural fertilizers, lunar calendar) to arrive at average yields of 35 H/ha. The harvest is manual in order to sort the grappes.
