Description
Château Ségur de Cabanac is located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation. Its vineyard, conducted in sustainable competition, is located east of the town of Saint-Estèphe, on a gravelly ridge overlooking the estuary of the Gironde. This geographical location gives its red wines an authentic character of the region.
The Ségur family is at the origin of the estate. Count Joseph Marie de Segur, lord of Cabanac fixed the boundaries delimiting the plots of what was to become the Segur de Cabanac estate.
In 1985, Guy Delon, from a family with six generations of winemakers, took over the property, renovated it and gave it a new lease of life in wine production.
