Family-owned property for 4 generations, Domaine de l’Espigouette is now run by Bernard Latour, his wife Marie-France and their two sons Julien and Emilien. The estate’s vineyards, with an average age of 45 years, are located on the Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Rasteau, Plan de Dieu and Côtes du Rhône appellations.
Bernard Latour respects the terroir and the environment by practicing a method of reasoned and ecological culture and by limiting human interventions as much as possible. The diversity of the terroirs brings a lot of complexity to the domain’s wines: the pebbles for example (produce warmth to the vines during the night), give rich and round wines, while the sandy and clay soils bring elegance, delicacy and depth.
