Description

Château Roumieu Lacoste is located in Barsac (sweet wine region) next to Sauternes. It produces dry white wines and sweet wines in appellation AOC Barsac and AOC Sauternes. It belongs to Hervé Dubourdieu, who took over the vineyard after his father’s death. The Château is an old estate acquired around 1900 by André Dubourdieu, whose grandfather, named “Lacoste” was already a winemaker in the previous century. Since 1983 André’s son, Hervé Dubourdieu manages the property as it was in the past. In 2016 André Dubourdieu’s grandson, who bears his name, also embarked on the adventure of the profession of wine grower.

Roumieu-Lacoste has a privileged location in the region of Sauternes, in the heart of the noble clay-limestone Haut Barsac, which unmistakably personalizes the wine of this mini-appellation.

The vineyard produces 3 wines:
Chateau Roumieu Lacoste, sweet wine in the Sauternes appellation, with a lot of balance between acidity and liquor, giving a lot of elegance to the wine. Le Graville Lacoste, dry white wine in the Barsac appellation, characterized by its minerality and citrus notes.
Les Fleurs de Graville in the Graves appellation white, more complex, thanks to aging in wooden cask.
