Description

REIGNAC Castle is located on a ridge at the confluence of Entre Deux Mers, it has a rare feature, that of bringing together the best soils of straight (clay-limestone) and left (clay-gravelly) banks on the same property. Château REIGNAC presents one of the best value for money in Bordeaux, as witnessed, year after year, the blind tastings of the European grand jury as well as the notes of the greatest tasters worldwide. This feat results from an obsessional work associated with an exceptional terroir. The current castle was built in the 16th century by Lord Baude de Peyron. In the 18th and 19th centuries, it undergoes transformations: the creation of a court of honor closed by beautiful grilles and a remarkable greenhouse signed Gustave EIFFEL. Since its acquisition in 1990, Yves and Stéphanie VATELOT have made every effort to raise REIGNAC to the level of the greatest Bordeaux. Surrounded by the best advisors, like the talented oenologist Michel Rolland, they never stop looking after the property and innovating.
