Description

Acquired in 2002 by Bruno Martin, Château Sainte-Luce Bellevue dominates the shores of the Gironde. Sainte Luce was a small fishing village attached to the city of Blaye in the nineteenth century. Its church, founded in 1660 following a donation from the Duke of Saint Simon, was for a long time the seat of a brotherhood of tailors.

Located on a beautiful terroir of clay and limestone, the vineyard is old and covers 10 hectares of which 8.5 hectares are devoted to red (78% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Malbec) and 1.40 ha to white (80% Sauvignon and 20% Muscadelle). Under the direct influence of the river with its regulating effect, providing an attenuation of heat and cold blows for a better photosynthesis, the property produces structured and powerful wines thanks to very fruity and sweet grapes.

The aromas are very typical, fruits and spices. The frame of the wines is long and tight thus ensuring a great potential of guard (from 20 to 30 years).
